These meditative images are intended to allow the viewer to go on a personal journey of reflection to achieve inspiration, purpose, or understanding of one’s self. Original inspiration of this collection came from Hiroshi Yamazaki. He photographed various seas in a calm meditative state. The single ocean image is symbolic of our personal center. The ocean is the strongest body of water and can exhibit the most turmoil. My intention with these images is to allow someone to wonder, resolve issues, find their place, see beauty in themselves, to calm their center and brighten their light. Place yourself in the environment and hear the sound of the sounds. Close your eyes and breathe; inhaling and exhaling as the tide ebbs and flows. Listen to the sounds and hear the harmony of our world.

“Real” is a project inspired by the song “Real” by James Wesley. The song references comparisons and unrealistic parallels between reality TV and reality of life. The hard work of farming, the survival of the off-seasons, teaching our children family values and cherishing the ones we love. This small collection includes images of real life, real struggles, and real love in our small coastal community.

This is a collection of images that I find in everyday life. People, places, and things that I encounter and feel tell a story,  have a timeless nature, or nostalgic across generations. These are images that the viewer will connect to in different ways, but could get lost in fond memories. 

Industrial Lines is a project in which I was restricted to a geographical space to explore and create a harmonizing collection of images. Inspired slightly by Paul Strand, I photographed geometric shapes and patterns enhanced by shadows. These are hard industrial elements that are part of our surroundings and rarely considered as any level of art. I used the unusual subject matter to create a collection of images based on elements of design and art such as repetition, texture, composition and perspective.
